MICA CONDENSOR FILMSPieces of high quality Mica having thickness generally less than 2 mils are classified as condensor films. Condensor films are used in the manufacture of silver mica plates used in the capacitors. |

MICA SPLITTINGSPieces of medium quality mica having a thickness of less than 1 mil are classified as mica splittings. These mica splittings are supplied either as "Bookform" type or "Loose" type. Splittings are used for manufacture of micanite related products. |

PHLOGOPITE MICA BLOCKS, CUT AND SCRAPPhlogopite, also called brown mica, basic aluminosilicate of potassium, magnesium, and iron that is a member of the common mica group. Varieties that contain only small amounts of iron are economically important as electrical insulators. Phlogopite mica can withstand the temperature upto 900 degrees celcius. The best phlogopite is of Madagascar origin followed by Sri Lanka. Very limited quantities are found in India. At PNR we mostly use Madagascar origin phlogopite mica. |
